1- Sales & Marketing Manager - Al Wusta Fisheries Industries Company

About the Business

Al Wusta Fisheries Industries Company is a subsidiary of Fisheries Development Oman. The company has been established as part of Oman's desire to further develop the Fisheries sector in the Sultanate towards 2040

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for developing business strategy, business plan, distribution plan and sales as per market demand of products.

Develop sales forecast and sales budget for the local & international markets.

Manage budgets, expenses and pricing and sales arrangements.

Analyse the business performance by customer, territory, and region, including the profitability, revenue, pricing, and cost of products/solutions sold.

Drive efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget.

Responsible for planning new account strategies, prospecting new accounts, making sales’ calls, generating positive word of mouth, developing, and quoting rates, negotiating contracts and closing sales.

Ensuring prompt resolution of customer complaints or problems as well as managing the day-to-day sales & logistic.

Explore and maximize opportunities through measurable process.

Take responsibility on all company generated leads through all marketing channels (Website, social media, direct marketing, Events, etc.).

Build good relationships with potential customers in order to address their needs, follow up on a regular basis by gathering all necessary information by all means of correspondence.

Work with the Operations in-charge to develop and manage system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.

Build in the key elements of cost position in the Marketing & Sales Plan to provide clarity to the operations team on efficiency drivers.

Establish strong communication with the operation team to assure proper management of sales and customers’ satisfaction.

Regular contact with existing key clients to ensure understanding of changing customer needs so to ensure high level of service delivery.

Contribute towards development of talent for the division by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities.

Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the management.

Education & Experience

Bachelor Degree in Sales & Marketing or any other relevant field.

Minimum of 7 years’ experience preferably in the seafood industry.

2- Quality Assurance Manager - International Seafood Company

About the Business

International Seafood Company is a subsidiary of Fisheries Development Oman. The company is planning to set up Sardine & Tuna cannery project with ancillary plant and related facilities in Duqm with ultimate processing inflow capacity of around 30KT/Year of Sardine and Tuna as well as Fishmeal and fish oil.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise the development, implementation and administration of QA activities in all phases of production at factory level (ISFC Quality Systems).

Writes or review specifications, quality levels, sampling plans and inspections procedures and Drive improvements and monitor Quality Metrics/KPI's at the facility

Perform investigations and agrees actions on relation to on hold products and raw materials.

Supervises the effectiveness of chemical analysis, physical testing and performance evaluations done at ISFC.

Develop section policies and monitoring programs, and enforces established polices and regulations internally and externally

Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

Ensures the adequate storage and recovery of all records relating to product quality and safety

Develops and understand ISFC Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Participate in the establishment of quality specification and standards for raw materials, in process and finished products.

Assist in the development of inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans or process control procedures that will ensure the production of finished products which met quality specifications and standards.

Supervise and perform inspection and testing of raw materials, processes and finished products.

Commit to ensuring products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.

Lead the Food Safety and HACCP team at respective site and control all aspect of the HACCP program in place at ISFC.

Confirm all product specifications are met by having an appropriate product evaluation process.

To advise production on matters pertaining to compliance of relevant occupational Health & Safety, Labor and Welfare Acts, importing countries legislation and current food manufacturing practices

Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the management.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, or Chemical Engineering., or similar field.

Minimum 7 years’ experience in quality control.

3- Sales & Marketing Manager - International Seafood Company

About the Business

International Seafood Company is a subsidiary of Fisheries Development Oman. Key Responsibilities

To manage and implement the Product Marketing & sales strategies in alignment with the long-term strategic objectives of the Company.

Study, analyze and recommend the markets for products based on factory ramp up profile targets.

Recommend, manage and implement Product & Marketing Plans with clear goals, timings and accountability. Update based on results and alignment requirements.

Establish, execute product marketing agreements to meet company sales targets.

Work with retailers and marketers to build up the marketing and costumers base of the products in accordance with the strategic marketing plan for domestic and international growth strategies.

Work in partnership with Technical Development to determine the optimal product types, sizes and tastes that will appeal to the target markets.

Manage the system of measuring and reporting progress (including budgets and agreed KPIs).

Develop and utilize competitive intelligence system and take appropriate action to maximize marketplace advantages and minimize potential weaknesses.

Explore and develop new opportunities for growth including new concepts or services and new customer relationships.

Continuously develop new product varieties in order to match customers changing eating habits and evolving demands.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, as well as determine and manage priorities.

Work with marketing agencies, branding consultancies, and stakeholders within and outside the organization in planning and executing brand initiatives

Execute- branding initiatives in coordination with the relevant stakeholders as per the objectives and the timelines agreed

Conduct research, analyze market conditions and competitor data to implement changes as needed.

Liaise with legal advisors for protection of the brand identity through copyrights, trademarks, service marks.

Track and monitor brand perception in the market – both locally and internationally in comparison to the brand objectives; report findings and suggest actions to remedy the situation

Ensure periodic audits to ensure templates, placards, banners and any other visual aids that carry the logos and corporate formats are consistent through regular checks and controls.
