2- Head of Appraisal & Development (E&P Experienced)

We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Appraisal & Development for our client, a global oil company based in Abu Dhabi.

BE/MSc (Petroleum Engineering) or MSc (Geology/Geophysicist/Geosciences)
Min. 15 years of industry experience in an E&P company with at least 5 years of management experience
Must have carbonates (Oil & Gas) reservoirs experience (preferable for Middle East Fields) and Offshore field development experience
Must be able to formulate field development strategies and make sound decisions based on technical & economic analyses.
Demonstrate leadership quality to lead multidiscipline team
Good to have proven track record of managing and developing the marginal fields
Good understanding of geological and reservoir engineering principles & methods, well performance evaluation & production forecasting approaches, facilities requirements for delivery of fluids
Working understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir characterization and their relation to reservoir performance and development planning
Good interpersonal and communication skills
No travel restrictions

Job Description:

Reporting to Managing Director
Manage the appraisal and development activities Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering for existing & future discoveries in Offshore Abu Dhabi and prepare, submit, and acquire approval of development plan and secure buy-in as per company strategic plan. Also ensure the delivery of all development projects within allocated budget and timeline for committed oil production.
Comply with QHSE policy aimed at healthy and safe working environment.
Ensuring company’s growth objectives are attained within the region. Negotiating and managing relationships with shareholder and business partners to seek their valuable inputs and approvals in a timely manner
Responsible for preparing and executing appraisal plan along with all requisite approvals to mature the discoveries for development
Responsible for organizational structure and resource allocation of Appraisal and Development team
Initiate and mature appraisal and development drilling opportunities to enhance the value of the fields
Develop a Field Development Plan to bring the field on sustained production as per the company strategic plan
Manage appraisal and development activities including studies, drilling, production engineering, reservoir management and surface facilities strategy and share the appraisal & development expertise across the company for improvement in planning for new projects
Manage the integrated team for early monetization of Marginal Fields and development of Early Production Facilities to expedite First Oil
