1- LED technician NEC certified
Job Description:
We’re looking for an LED Technician with 3 years of experience in corporate, trade shows, or concerts.
To have knowledge of LED and Nova star processing, knowledge of projection, video switchers, scalers, and distribution.
Understanding of electrical theory, wiring practices, and electrical safety standards.
Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair of LED equipment.
The LED Technician role will be handling the setup and installation of the production.
Responsibilities
• To rig, set up, operate, and de-rig a wide range of specialist audio, video & LED screens and LED processors associated products along with other related AV products.
• Will show excellent knowledge of working with Media Servers.
• To undertake and oversee the pre-production and preparation of equipment for an event.
• Assist with daily liaison between company departments, sales, operations teams, and warehouse regarding crewing and AV equipment requirements.
• To provide on-site technical support where required
• Ensure that all audio-visual services are delivered to clients in a professional and efficient manner.
• Assist in maintaining quality control, i.e., monitoring equipment condition, reporting any faults, etc.
Requirements
• Vision mixers/switchers – Roland, Analogway, Barco, etc.
• Video Wall processors – eg Nova star, Datapath X4 / FX4, etc.
• Video Displays – Large Format Displays (LFD’s), Projectors (Panasonic, Christie, Barco etc) LCD Video walls, LED Video walls (Absen, Unilumen, DigiLED, etc)
• Video Signals and distribution – HD-SDI, HDMI over Cat5, Scan converters, EDID, etc
• Software: PowerPoint, Keynote , Qlab, Playback Pro, etc
• Some experience in rigging and power distribution
2- Audio Visual Technician
The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment including set up, install, inspections and troubleshooting. This individual also liaises with client services to determine audio-visual requirements for events and maintains knowledge of video and audio equipment, computers, wireless technology and other equipment vital to the needs of Host-affiliated offices.
Additionally, the Audio Visual Technician also provides feedback for the Audio Visual Team Lead and other team members to enable service improvements, resolve communications issues and provide additional audio-visual assistance as needed.
Responsibilities
Operation of all audio-visual equipment
Ensure that the audio-visual equipment is tested and in correct working order before use ; Investigate faults an recommend further actions to rectify
Maintains audio visual equipment including routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and inventory control
Maintain a strong working knowledge of video and audio equipment, wireless technology, computers, LCD projectors, and video conferencing equipment
Coordinate integration with specialty audio visual equipment as needed
Responsible for cord management & safe set up
Provide regular feedback to AV Manager or Workplace team on communication issues and service improvements
Liaison with client management regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events. This will include assistance with PowerPoint presentations, audio and videoconferences
