Main Objectives
Operate authorized GSE in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with the procedures of Bahrain Airport Services, customer airlines, and the regulator.
Main Duties
o Drive and operate all Aircraft Servicing Equipment as required.
o Perform inspection of the GSE and other vehicles for any defect or damage, Advise Team Leaders prior to operation. Unserviceable units are to be taken offline.
o Ensure that all Bahrain Airport Services Emergency orders are adhered to, as required.
o Ensure allocated equipment is clean and has sufficient fuel.
o Ensure stands are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
o Performs a visual inspection of aircraft for damages before engaging any GSE.
o Report immediately to Airside Team Leader in the event of any incident/accident.
o Ensure the equipment is marshalled when reversing to engage with an aircraft or if visibility is deemed unsafe.
o Record all services provided and ensure to inform Airside Team Leader for recharge.
o Perform Headset communication with the cockpit as and when required.
o Adhere to at all times, all uniform and grooming standards of Bahrain Airport Services.
o Attend and complete all training courses as required.
o Carry out other duties as appropriate in support of the business activities of Bahrain Airport Services.
o Provide 100% coverage to safeguard the operation.
o Ensure that rosters are produced to suit the operational requirements and cooperate with all reasonable requests for overtime.
o Overtime will be mandated to the most suitable staff member at the time should a shortfall occur.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Completion of Secondary School Education.
Experience:
A minimum of 1-year experience in airside operations or a manual handling environment.
Training:
Must be aware of aviation or manual handling environment.
Other Essential Requirements:
o Knowledge of written and spoken English.
o To hold a driving license.
o Attention to Detail and Quality.
o Communication Skills.
o Computer Literacy.
