Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Intercontinental, Japan, China and GPS Facilities & Operations, this role provides FM leadership and expertise to support the GM for the Middle East, Russia and South Africa Commercial Operations.
The Middle East, Russia and South Africa Commercial businesses are located in United Arabic Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Russia and South Africa.
This position will be located in UAE Gilead’s Dubai office.
This role will manage a mix of contractor and service provider. The position will be a key member of the Intercontinental, Japan, China and GPS Team.
Core Responsibilities
Supervise facilities site personnel to deliver efficient services at their sites
Provide regional leadership, supporting the regional business and supporting the F&O team
Manage the FM teams to support the needs of the business’ located within the country/region
Work with the Space & Master planning and Project Teams on capital projects and workplace initiatives to support the geographical expansion of the region and development of the F&O business
Manage Leasehold Improvement, Churn and Operational Excellence projects as required
Manage delivery of capital projects including management of third-party suppliers as required
Develop an annual sub-regional plan for the implementation of the objectives and a 3-year financial forecast
Continue development of the hard and soft services strategy, ensuring appropriate SLA’s and KPI’s are developed and implemented
Develop an annual procurement programme aligned to the Facilities Master Plan
Strategies and execute optimised outsourcing solution
Provide support and advice to the business on matters relating to buildings mechanical, electrical, health, safety, environmental and security
Undertake regular technical reviews of M&E and EHS & Security
Ensure legal compliance for all buildings, plant and equipment and building services across the Middle East, Russia and South Africa
Provide technical advice on new project concepts: standard and quality of design, promotion of best practice and overall risk management to the business
2- Director and Head of Legal and Compliance Middle East
Job Description
Gilead’s Middle East affiliate is seeking a Director and Head of Legal and Compliance reporting to the Head of Intercontinental (ICR) Legal and Compliance who is responsible for legal and compliance in the Middle East region, Brazil, LatAM, Turkey, Russia, 5 Asian countries and the Global Patient Solutions region.
The role is a leadership role with high exposure at Middle East Affiliate level as well as at a Global, International and ICR level. In parallel, it is an operational role with accountability for personally delivering and overseeing delivery by Middle East Legal and Compliance Department of a high volume of legal support on a wide array of issues which will require a responsive, hands-on mentality and approach.
A key responsibility of the Legal Director is to be a legal advisor and business partner to the General Manager (GM) of the Gilead Affiliate in Middle East, the Affiliate Leadership Team members and functional leadership team members.
The Legal and Compliance Director will also be part of the ICR Legal Leadership Team.
Essential Duties And Job Functions
Supports the affiliate team in delivering optimal performance and operational excellence while ensuring that all major legal and substantial compliance risks are properly understood by the function and serves as a key business partner to the Middle East LT across therapeutic areas and functions.
Ensures efficient and consistent Legal & Healthcare Compliance Policies & Processes are in place and is responsible for setting direction for the improvement, implementation and general maintenance of the Legal and Commercial Compliance systems that support multiple functions.

Specific Responsibilities

Role will require travel and depending on location the need for overnight stays.
Role will require frequent travel across gulf countries.
