About British School Salalah
This is a unique opportunity to join our warm and friendly team and lead a growing not for profit British international school in a beautiful corner of Arabia. British School Salalah (BSS) is an expanding and delightful school on the shores of the Arabian Sea. It was founded in 1970 based in a small hut on the beach. It moved to a villa in Salalah town in 1977 and then on to its present site in 1980. BSS is the only British National Curriculum school in Salalah and is a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). It has recently been recognised as a COBIS Member and is looking to achieve COBIS Accreditation this academic year.
Run on a not-for-profit basis, BSS provides quality British education for children of expatriate families in the Dhofar region. The child-centred approach and supportive classroom atmosphere are appreciated by students from all backgrounds. BSS is currently a small school with 210 students and a maximum class size of 24.
