Pediatric Nurse
King's College London Hospital Dubai is currently looking for a Pediatric Nurse for our organization at King's College Hospital Dubai in Dubai Hills. To provide professional nursing care to children from birth to late teens. The Pediatric Nurse will discuss a child's symptoms and medical history, provide initial care, administer prescribed medication, and monitor the patient's progress.
Key Accountabilities:
To assess a child's needs and provides initial care.
To participate in pain management for children.
To administer medications, draw blood, and give childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines.
To monitor temperature, pulse, breathing, and blood pressure and to keep accurate records.
To prepare equipment and to aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
To educate family members on treatment options.
To remain up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, equipment, and treatment procedures
To uphold high standards of care in Pediatric departments of KCH.
To adhere to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) guidelines.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients on an ongoing basis.
To ensure that all patients and their relatives are updated regularly with accurate information and presented in a sensitive way and one that they understand.
Required skills:
Bachelor’s in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
DHA Registered Nurse
Has worked within an appropriate service environment within the last 4 years.
Excellent Communication skills – able to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels and from different professions. Adapts communication style as necessary and is able to work with and through others
Problem solving skills – able to respond to unexpected issues and provide first line response and to identify appropriate sources of secondary support.
