Role and Responsibilities
Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
Performs punch-listing operations and closeout with clients.
Reports to all site activities on weekly and monthly basis to lead QA/QC.
Develops and implements inspection and test plan for the project activities.
Prepares E&I, TELEOM related Method statements and follows up the implementation at site works.
Carry outs quality control inspection as per approved ITP with associated check sheets.
Maintains quality documents compliance to ISO 9001 standard requirements.
Forecasts to inspection requirements and available resources prior to start the inspection activity.
Raises RFI to client for quality inspection on project activity.
Performs Material receiving and field installation inspections of electrical, instrumentation &telecommunication, in accordance with project requirements and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan.
Ensures and maintains the calibration of all site equipment’s.
Maintains quality document and submits dossier to client for project completion.
Performs visual inspections, dimensional test, checks rating and material for connection.
Monitors and performs tests of continuity, insulation resistance of cables.
Checks installation of instruments.
Performs tests functional instruments.
Verifies special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
Witnesses the tests, controls and inspections carried out.
Checks conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
Ensures the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
Appraises product quality in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plan and Scope of work and determines conformity and non-conformity. Documents all inspection results and for any non-conformity, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action, preventive actions and root cause.
Witnesses E&I/T pre-commissioning and performance acceptance tests to the acceptance criteria as per established parameters.
Qualifications Requirements
Min 3 years’ experience in a similar position in Oil & Gas EPC projects (ADNOC)
Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice and regulations/legislation relating to electrical and instrumentation/telecom work
E&I inspection skills
Customer Focused
Good knowledge in MS Office
Work ability in multitask disciplines
Ability to work under pressure
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
