JOB TITLE
Head of General Foundation Programme Department
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide academic leadership in defining and designing the operational plan for
the department and to facilitate the achievement of the department's goals.
• Build and maintain an inclusive and collaborative organizational culture within the department, College, and community.
Facilitate and ensure mentorship and accountability for professional development.
• Model and promote excellence in all departmental endeavors. • Manage budget planning and administration.
• Direct and evaluate staff.
• Oversee acquisition and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Serve as the primary departmental advocate in enhancing the visibility and prestige
of the General Foundation Programme.
QUALIFICATION
The successful candidate must have earned a doctorate in the field of Education, Preferably in English Language, Educational Management, Educational Leadership, Education Supervision.
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least five years of experience in higher education of which 3 years in an administrative position.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with
individuals at all levels of the College. • Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
High integrity and ethical standards. • Superlative academic record and standing.
• Ability to work independently, as well as maintain a positive working relationship with others.
